On Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27, employees are encouraged to wear pink, can purchase special pink foods in the cafeteria, and can shop Trinity Gifts & Floral for 15 percent off all regular-priced merchandise. All three shops carry a selection of cancer-awareness merchandise, and have discounted mammogram coupons available all month. Special pink prayer cards will be available in the chapels at all three campuses in October. Also, the cafeterias will display a "wall of honor" with pink cardstock ribbons completed and collected by the gift shops. Emmy Award-winning celebrity makeup artist Jan Ping will headline "Beauty & the B(r)east," Trinity Cancer Center's inaugural "wecancervive" event, from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the QC Waterfront Convention Center. Ms. Ping's own battle with the disease made her realize the impact cancer treatment has on a woman's self-image.
