| Beauty supply customers got 'Perfect Results' giveaway ... - Examiner Posted: 24 Apr 2010 04:58 PM PDT There's no such thing as perfect, but Perfect Results® is trying to get your hair as close to that point as possible. Beauty 4 Ever shoppers on Chicago's south side were in for a treat this Sat., Apr. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Perfect Results representatives visited the beauty supply store, located at 11601 S. Halsted St., to promote their products. "We need the shea butter, the aloe, the silk, all of the products together to take care of our hair," said Sharon, a Perfect Results representative, to Shamontiel, the Chicago Black Hair & Health Examiner. However, there are hair care products that have a black woman on the front of the item but don't have any unique ingredients in comparison to other types of hair products. Customers who aren't as savvy with ingredients may not know which ones are really right for black hair outside of that promotional image. "My main thing is I'm a label reader," said Sharon, pointing to Perfect Results products. "[Customers] should look for aloe, for products that go back to the basics. Avoid products with alcohol, which dries the hair and makes it brittle. Our hair needs that extra moisture, and Perfect Results provides that." Perfect Results products do include natural items like aloe and Vitamin E in the shampoo or conditioner. In addition to free samples of shampoo and conditioner, Sharon also let customers test out the cherry scent Hair & Body Oil and had the Beeswax hair oil on display. The Beeswax product does not include petralotum, which tends to make hair shiny but dry. Another product that dries out hair is mineral oil, which is in their conditioner but unlike leave-in hair oil and conditioner, the Triple Silk Deep Penetrating Conditioner is meant to be washed out. Perfect Results, which was primarily used by stylists around 2000 and distributed by Diane® Products, also has salon use brands, too. In addition to shampoo, conditioner, oil and beeswax, Perfect Results sells glue remover shampoo, wig shampoo, wig spray, oil sheen, spritz, mousse and wrap lotion. Diane® Products is located in Mt. Prospect, IL.
